CYCLONE CONTINUES
FLOODING FEARED
DISORGANISATION OF SHIPPING

The surpassing intensity of the past few days’ cyclonic disturbance was continued yesterday and last night, resulting in further disorganisation of shipping, and additional rains in the coastal districts where serious flooding is feared.
The town of Forster was entirely cut off when two small rivers overflowed their banks. t Overseas and inter-State vessels, which should have left yesterday but were delayed ;,by , weather are the Autolycus for London, City of Toltio for Liverpool, , Canadian Constructor for Montreal, Port Brisbane for London, Changte for Melbourne, Zealandia, Saros, Burwah, Allara and Broadway for Newcastle. , The North Coast Steam Navigation Company has cancelled all sailings, . .... Because of the bumping at 'the jetty at Coff’s Harbour, the Gabriella, loading for New Zealand yia. J N e lV cas Ue, was compelled to put sea, and it is believed to be sheltering somewhere nlong the coast, . Throughout the day no steamer was able to leave Newcastle. With huge seas mnkihg the , bar dangerous, the steamer Raimiro rede out in a 60-mile-an-hour gale, off Port Hunter, By night the weather had moderated but the bar was still too bad for ships enter.
Despite' mountainous seas, the Manly ferry service was continued. The boats, wjth the main decks, awash, tossed about like corks. Tlie tankei, British Lady, would not risk entering port during the gale, and was last seen heading south. The Weather Bureau has issued the following warning: ‘‘Cyclone maintains intensity; is slowly moving eastward : heavy rain expected along North Coast.”
Floods are imminent in the Hastings and Manning rivers.
