MOTOR FATALITES
PERROW COMMITTED FOR TRIAL CHRISTCHURH, July 12. In the Perrow case badie S. Holland, aged 20, said that she had first met Peiro.v at Ashburton on the day of the accident, and had arranged to come to Christchurch with him 'chat evening. Witness <,aw the lorry as they ■ approached it. Perrow’s car was travelling thirty to thirty-five miles an hour directly in the centre of the road. -She felt a bump as the .car passed the lorry, and remarked on-this to Perrow, saying that ehe believed the car had touched the eide of the lorry. Perrdw replied: “Yes, I believe we have!” but.’he did not, stop. He pulled up half a' mile further bn, and asked her if he should go back., She replied “Please yourself!” Perrow inspected the car, and said. “It’S.'; only a deht.” They eventually' drove" on.
Perrow was committed for trial. Bail was fixed at ££oo with two sureties of £IOO each. : ' 1
