A GOOD STORY
TAXATION SQUEEZE.
Captain Moritz, of the steamer Heidelberg, tolls a story of Mix Sell moling, who lost the world’s title to Jack Sharkey a few weeks ago. In a Berlin hotel a lemon squeezer could not be found.
“Give the lemon to me,” said Schmeling. The juice was quickly squeezed out. “If anyone present can coax any more juice out of that demon he is welcome to it,” lie adcled, as he held it up.
A little man at the next table held a hand, out for the lemon. Using both hands and bringing his shoulder muscles into play, while his face indicated the terrific strain, he managed 1° extract three or four drops from the lemon.
“Wonderful! Wonderful!” exclaimed Schmeling. “And where do you come from?” ■ f T belong to the taxation department*” answered the ]ittle man.
