BRIDE STEALING

Generally the rite partakes of a hilarious character, but this time the peasant father of the bride refused to let 1 his daughter _ go, so, when the bridegroom’s friends seized’ her,: the bride’s brother prepared an ambush, and intercepted the raiders, killing the bridegroom and two friend's,. and badly wounding thirteen others.'
