PAPAL LEGATE DEPARTS
CROWDS KNEEL FOR BLESSING

“God will bless this dear land. I return to the Holy Father to ten him of Ireland’s wondrous loyalty,” said the- Papal Legate, Cardinal Lauri, when departing from Kingstown bv the flower-bedecked steamer.
The Legate was •escprted by cavalry through the thronged and decorated route from ’Dublin. Women kneelling to receive the valedictory blessing, wept when gazing their last ' upon the beloved prelate. The quays were black with people who knelt for the final blessing as the vessel cast off.
