' The- Sunday Entertainments Bill was read the third time in the House of by 146 votes to 56 after an .amendment for permitting theatres .in any district to open on Sunday and stage plays had been defeated. RUGBY, June 29. During a debate on the Sunday Cinemas Bill in the House of Commons, a new clause was moved on behalf of the Government providing that five per cent of the sum earmarked for charity out of the profits of Sunday performances shall be transferred to a Cinematograph Fund to be estah--fished under the direction of the Privy Council for the purpose of cncouragin the use and development of the cinematograph as a means of entertainment and instruction.
