Air 11. E. Holland, Leader of the Opposition, arrived at Wellington today en route to Auckland, where he speakes to-morrow night.
CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION
WELLINGTON, June 28.
Judgment for £26 special and £2O general damages with costs was given .by Air McNeil, S.M., in favour of Daisy Monas and her daughter, Thorn /Monas, who were injured when part of the corrugated iron fence of the Municipal Milk Station in Tory Street-fell-on them.
Tim Magistrate id that, although tilers was a gusty wind on that day, it was not extraordinary. He thought the; Corporation should have constructed . Jthw fence in such a manner as to have resisted a wind of the force of that -which was blowing. He held that negligence on the part- of the Corporation- had been proved. !
