FINED £15,000
FOR SMUGGLING OF TOBACCO LONDON,, June 25. A notorious tobacco smuggler, Louis Leaser, who in 1930 was fined £5,740, hag now been fined £15,000, or six months’ imprisonment for smuggling another ton of tobacco sec reted in an old submarine chaser. Lesser-smiled and-winked when the Magistrate remarked: “You probably know the limit of my jurisdiction.”
