Yickridge; in his report, said no fewer than 100 new members were admitted during the year. He also spoke of having had an interview wi:h the Governor-General, who was taking a personal interest in the Legion.
The formation of a unit in the south, he said, was discussed, and he hoped before long they would hav e the Legion well established there. He said Captain D'-E-sterre, asked him to accept his resignation from ih e position ot Com mis-ioner and asked him to nominate Col. Wc-ston in hu- pane. The work of Capt. IJ'Esforre would live long after him as one of the founders ot the Legion in New Zealand and lie rendered great service since. The an. nual report and balance sheet were adopted.
