COUNTY ELECTION RESULTS. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 25. Messrs A. Cowio and R. I. Black the candidates who were defeated for first poll, which was declared irregular after a Magisterial inquiry, were elected when a second poll was conducted yesterday. Mr Cowie will represent the Hurunui Riding and Mr Black the Waipara Riding. Heavier voting was recorded yesterday, in view of the additional interest caused by the .successful appeal of the candidates who had been defeated at the first poll. BEQUESTS TO CHURCHES. WELLINGTON, June 23. Under the will of Mrs Marie Strain, who died on May 23rd, the residuary estate amounting to £ISOO will be divided equally between St. James’ Presbyterian Church and the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wellington. X.Z. DENTAL ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, June 27. Representatives of branches of the Now Zeaiand Dental Association have been in conference in Wellington during the past three days. The following officers were elected: President, D. V. Donald (Christchurch); VicePresident and President Elect. K. C. Morpeth (Wellington) ■ Chairman of Executive Council, M. Paulin (Wellington): Secretary, M. E. Dennispm (Wc Vi nylon). Mr J. Norman Wb.hworth. Director of Dental Services, wa.s elected as honorary life member. It. was decided that the next conference be he'd at Dunedin.
