PARIS, June 23 After four year of efforts the first ingots of gold hav e been salvaged fren the sunken liner "Egypt” by the dog ged clivers of the Italian ship ~Artiglio.” The in&ots secured are valued at several Hundreds of thousands of pounds. The operations are continuing to-morrow. This i© the first time that gold has been salvaged from a depth below four hundred feet. The success of the “Artiglio’s” men is due to a chain of bombs blowing up portion of the strong-room, and enabling four diver.-: to enter it.
