SYDNEY, June 21
The liner Maraina had a rough crossing of Tasman Sea from Wellington. The All Black Rugby team were aboard. They suffered considerably on the voyage, and they proved much less redoubtable as shipboard trenchermen than they are reputed to be on the football field.
The majority of the other passengers also found the voyage unusually trying, and they were glad to get ashore to the sunshine, even though it i,3 still cold. The All Black team was welcomed officially the- New South Wales Rugby Union, the President of which is Mr Woods, and Sir Henry Braddon addressed a few remarks of, felicitation to Manager Wallace and hie men, a-nd he also indulged in interesting reminiscences covering the period since the New Zealand team’s visit to Australia in 1884.
The manager, Mr Wallace; the captain, Mr F. D. Kilby; and the vicecaptain, Mr Steei'e, briefly responded.
The All Blacks indulged in practice this afternoon on the Sydney Cricket Ground to get the stiffness out of their legs.
