DARGAVILLE, June 21
Seven relief workers from the single men’s camp at Mititai came to town after receiving their first pay on Saturday. They had too much to drink and all were arrested on theft charges. Today six of them were sentenced to ore month’s gaol. Petty thieving from stores in Victoria Street, .caused the trouble, the goods being placed in the buggy in which the men had , conie to town. The goods, a varied assortment, included men’s clothing, toilet requis. ites, gloves, women’s slippers and other small articles to the total valvje of £6 16*. ;
