Communications have been forwarded to the Dominions, but replies have not been received from all of them. BRITISH TIMBER DELEGATION LONDON, June 16. “The Times,” in an editorial, urges the British- "timber traders to send their own committee to advise at the Ottawa Conference, especially with a view to defeating the Russian dumping of paper. “The Times” points out that, in spite of the huge Empire forests, only •six per cent, of the timber that is being imported into the United Kingdom frbm overseas, to an annual value of nearly fifty million pounds, is grown on Empire soil. It seems obvious, it says,' that timber delegates at Ottawa, who no doubt will be appointed will carry greater weight if ✓■'"•they are not only exnert. but official.
