WELCOME GIVEN
TO ARGENTINE VISITORS. AT BRITISH PARLIAMENT. (British Official Wireless.) .RUGBY, June 9/ An Argentine University delegation, who are now touring England, visited the House of Commons to-day, and a speech of welcome in Spanish was delivered by Mr Harold Mitchell, Parlia--mentary Secretary to the Minister of Overseas Trade. Later at a luncheon in their honour, Mr Mitchell referred to the deep friendship of Britain with Argentina, which remained unimpaired since it began 100 years ago. To-day Argentina and the United Kingdom were in remarkably ctose economic relations, and it was pleasant to think that this country now provided Argentina with a market for thos e products which her own countrymen had done to much to create. It was hoped that, as the result of their visit, tney wou/ld carry away with them a wider idea of Britain’s efforts and achievements in inheres other than economic—in the World of medicine, law, science, litem,-, ture and politics.
