The pocket-book- belonged to Air L. F. M’Donald ■ who leit Now Zealand* in October, 1915, wit#..the ..2nd Battalion New Zealand Rifle Brigade. In the Somme activities the pocket-book was lost, and was eventually found by an English sol did". A letter was received recently hv the postmistress of Ward. Marlborough, from Mr G. Martin, of Anchor Road, Longton, England, asking for in'brmation concerning Air M’Donakl’s whereabouts.

Air M’Donald’s marriage certificate showed that he had been married at Ward. Air Martin said he had written to Ward some years 'ago. hut laid received no reply.
