CHRISTCHURCH, June 7
Charles Firth Woodhead, 29, marnect, niT exysiolipito'r, pleaded thi*» morning to theft of trust hinds totalling £‘sßo. He was committed to the SupremA Court for sentence. Witnesses for the Crown said Woodhead admitted that moneys paid by clients had been used for other purposes. The the:ts occurred in 1930 and 1931. Lately accused has been acting as director of a radio station.
THEFT CHARGE. CHRISTCHURCH. June 7. George "William Denham, 36, married, a car salesmen, pleaded guilty this morning to a charge of having received £4O from Ernest Alfred Stead on terms requiring him to account for it to Eric McKay Campbell, and fraudulently omitting to do so. He was remaqdQd in custody for the probation officer to make inquiries. Counsel said Benhani was formerly branch manager of a motor firm in Invercargill, when his - over £BOO yearly. Lately he lm d' been selling,cars worry-affected his. work. The money retained was the proceeds of a car side.
