LONDON, June 6
The unemployed on May 23rd totalled 2,741,306 compared with 2,622,971 in June last year, and an increase of 89,125 sin'c« April 25th, although the number wholly unemployed decreased by 30761.
Temporarily unemployeds increased by 114,101, ascribed to holidays, stoppages by textile and boot industries, effect of recent Hoods and temporary stoppages in engineering, motor, metal, and pottery trades.
