“May I have the honour of the first interview,” said a fourteen year boy, pushing through a crowd of journali-sts at Quai Dorsay, and greeting M. Harriot. “I ,am Pierre Bourgeon, editor of, the 'school paper “Petit Lyce-en-.'.' M. Herriot invited the boy to his study, where he wrote.—“l remember the old village .school where I learned to read and write. I can still read with the help of spectacles, but- since I became a politician I cannot write.’
