MAN CAUGHT
ATTEMPT ON MUSSOLINI'S LIFE.

Signor Mussolini’s would-be assassin is named Angelo Abardelletto. He admitted that he is an Anarchist, and teat he wanted to attempt Signor Mussolini’s' life while the latteir was attending the unveiling of a monument to Anita Garibaldi on the Janiculun: Hill ; but a cordon of troops prevented him.
Abardelletto had a thin rubber pad filled with nitro glycerine," strapped to liis chest. There was sufficient explosion to blow t» pieces himself’and anyoi:e grappling with him. In addition, two flat bombs hung to his belt. i
Abu.delletto will be tried by a special tribunal. It is expected that he hill be sentenced to death by shooting, si mil aily to Michael Schrrru, who was so sentenced for plotting Signor Mussolini’s death in 1931,

Lucetti, th e man who threw the arrested, and it was found tHat he had come ' from France, whereupon the Dictator, said: '“We must make an end of ’this culpable and unheard-of to 1 erance beyond our frontiers. Press campaign that followed led to la/protest, being made by the' French Ambassador. A third attack in’ 1925 occurred at Bologna on October 31, when a youth fired at Mussolini, : missed, and was seized by the mob.. ancl immediately lynched. The bullet had pierced Mussolinis’ uniform, but- ha did not suffer even a scratch. . , /?'
