'SYYDEY, June 6. An Australi,an-made Jones monoplane., piloted by Roy Mitchell, with the owner, Mr L. R,‘l. Jones, as a passenger, left Quaker’® Hill, near Windsor, west of Sydney, yesterday (Sunday) morning. They set out ostensibly for a flight _.t.o* Bourke. and back. _ 2.... /They were expected'ijojue by mid* •bight but they have riot yet been Keen 'since,, The owner of the ground from which the flight was started, stated to-day that, for all he knew, they might have gone to New Zealand, but Pilot Mitchell's family think that this is unfikely, and they fear that an accident hais forced the plane down at some inaccessible inland spot. The plane was locally built. It behaved well in the, experimental flights but it had not been submitted to the Department for a certificate for airworthiness.
