The Australian Jockey Club’s winter meeting opened at Rand wick today in ideal weather. Results;:— ' June Stakes:—Sir Duninald 1; Dermid 2; Burwood 3. Won bv }. a length. Time 1.12}. .Sir Duninald has now won thrice in nine days. A.J.C. Hurdles: —Lady Doris 1; Bill Jim 2; Kirau 3. Won by a head. Time 4.23}. In the Second Division of the Nov- \ ice Handicap, the New Zealander } Tui Mint, ran second.

The jumping events, at the Victoria Racing Club’s Birthday Meeting at Flemington to-day were the chief attraction, in view of the. approach, of the Grand Nationals. Results: Marlborough Hurdles: —Nauru 1; Poidale 2; St.. Magnus 3. Won by 5 lengths. Time 4.11}. Prince of-Wales Steeplechase Appellant 1; Boonerah 2; Congoola 3. Won bv a head. Time 4.59.
