A meeting of the .Library Committee was held on May 31st. Present Messrs W. Wilson (chairman) Stuart, Teichelinaim, Dull', Coles and Niven. Mr 1). .I.’ Evans absence vea* apologised for.
A vote of sympathy and condolence with tin* 'relatives of the late Ml 1 Daniel Toon iey was moved and carried in silence tiie members standing. Mi Toomey bad carried out the duties of Librarian in an efficient manner ioi the last twelve years and he will be very much mi.-sed both by the comnuLtce and the subscribers. It was resolved to send a leider of .sympathy to .Mrs Toomey.
The Hook Committee' reported that 60 volumes mostly ‘mmi had been added to th« collection., and lurtlier additions were center, lplatml. New ,br lvr- bad been com ti 'noted to proi'vibe more room. An i.'t * cony of the T?oss “(Ilia dian” for 1.871 was presented to Die Museum by Mr Lumby. I)r Teichel .lann’s oiler of some extra volumes was gratefully aocepted by flic committee.
