The “Times” Hague correspondent says that with the completion of an eighteen mile dyke between North Holland and Friesland, the Zuyder Zee has been finally severed from the North Gea. The work lia*s taken nearly twelve years io complete. jOue-tenth of the reclaimed land has already been drained and cultivate: 1 .. While most Dutchmen are* celebrating the closing of the Zuyder Zee as an historic event, fisherfolk regard it as a tragedy. Many boats are lakl up in the harbour, and .flags are flying at half must.
