A LUCKY ARREST

Some time ago a detective was search-
ing for ail expert burglar who !i stolen some costly jewels the night !• fore. Dressed as a coster th e detective was idly lounging near Covent Warden, London, wondering what on earth to t'o next. At that moment who sfioTrld come along hut the burglar himself. H" was carrying an ohviouslly heavy bag that as a matter of fact contained the loot.
Tho detective was wondering what action to take when the burglar shunted, “Here, mate, want to cam a bob?” Tlie detective admitted b woui'd like to do so. “Just carry my bag round the comer,’’ said the thief. “I’ll follow behind.’’ Tho delighted tec|ivo was only 100 plea-e-d to carry the bag. “I’ll take the bag now,” sai l the man, “Thanks," said tb,. detective, “and I'll take von,’’
