POSTAL RATES
THE REDUCTIONS,

Regulations gazetted to-night relate to postal charges to take effect from Ist. June.
The letter rate is restored to one penny for the first ounce, and a halfpenny for each additional ounce. Postcards are to be one-half-penny. The registration fee will be three-
pence. The rates for packets, book-post, parcels, etc., are similarly reduced.
