AUCKLAND, .May 25,

Havoc among th© tents of the relief workers there was caused by a fierce gale which swept their camps at Aka Aka and Maioro Beach this morning.

At the Aka Aka No. 2 Camp, only three of the tents out of twenty-one wej*e ; left standing. Nine tents out of the twelve were blown down at Maioro Beach. •There were scenes of desolation at both camps, which bore ample testimony., to the force of tlie gale.

At Aka Aka many of the tents were u i ned.
