The prospectus was i published today of a loan for the Gove-mment ol tho Province of British Columbia. I lie amount is £1,500,090. It takes the form of 5 per cent, stock, and is offered at 99 per cent. By means "I ~ sinking fund, and not k’ ss Gum I 1: per cent, the stock will he repaid by 1957, the borrower having the option of redeeming in whole or in part- in nr after 1957.

This loan is the first me raised m the London market on behalf of any Canadian Governmental lady for several years, and is the first Biilidi Columbia lean so raised since March, 1914. The hulk of the CamdGii Public financing since the war lias been -rranged i" the United States or i:i Canada.
