BOLIVIAN DIVORCE DECREE

Divorce by mutual consent it nor possible in Bolivia. The President Daniel Salamanca lias signed a Bill t this effect parsed by the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies about twr weeks ago. The legislation was hotly contested by Catholic groups in both Houses, and it is expected that the Church wil throw tlm entire weight of its influence against Bolivians making use of the new law. The statute marks a radical change in Bolivian social life, ns heretofore divorce has not been petmitted for any reason.
