FOOTBALL
At a meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union held at Greymouth last evening, the referee in the Star-Cob-den match last Saturday, reported having to caution J. King (Cobden), for continuous appealing. On a motion being put- to the meeting that the player be placed on the caution list, Messrs Eggleton and Delaney (Cobden delegates) were strong dissentients.—The motion wlas carried.
SOUTH ISLAND TEAM
WEST COAST NOMINEES,
The nomination of three West Coast players for inclusion in the South Island Rugby team to play the North Island, was announced by the President of the West Coast Rugby Union (Mt A. A. Adams) last evening. The nominees are:—Backs, W. Hughes (Excelsior Club, Hokitika), .T. King (Cobden Club). Forward, E. Jones (United Club.)

WELLINGTON, May 24. The following are Wellington nominees for the North Island Rugby team: Pollock, full back or centre; Ball, wing three quarter; Lilburnc, first fiveeighth; Kilby, half back; Jos-;ep, hooker; Barry and McLean, forwards. Lilburne is not available for th e Australian tour.
