A FIRE
■SHOP IN REVELL STREET
The fiicbell at No. 1 station rang out an alarm at, 1.20 o'clock this afternoon.
The scene of ttTie outbreak was the rear of a shop in Revel) Street formerly occupied by Quong, a fruiterer, next door to the shop of Mr W. K. Williams, chemist. The back wall was on lire, and a considerable volume of smoke was caused, hut the -pronipt arrival of the 'Fire Brigade and a lead of water enabled the outbreak to he quickly subdued. ... i( . ■ pyThe i-liop, rjs undergoing-ovenovatioiis. for a new grocery business to be opened.
