WESTLAND SUB-UNION. iSEV'EN-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT
The Westland Rugby Sub-UuUm met last evening, when there were present Messrs J, Stafford {chairman), A. H. Lawn, F.. McGregor, J. A. Cooper, W. (Stop forth, R. Bell, R. McDonald, A. Cut bush, F Freitas, J. McClenry, MeCallum and E. W. Hoenan (secretary). The Borough Council .wrote granting the Sub-Union permission to use Cass Square on June ord, and to ch-aige loi admission. Tile application of T. (.!row c oLt for regrading to junior was approved. Nomination lyo-s 'were received from the 'Rimu and Kiwi Clubs. In connection with ibe seven-a-uide tournament, a motion to include the entry of a Maori team, and the grunting of permission to a member of R’mu Club to play for that team was defeated.*' It was decided that the Sub'-Un’on seven-a-side tournament be open to a 1 teams in the Sub-Unions district, and ,-to call nominations for the following grades:—'Senior, junior, third grade, shrimps and bantam, closing next Monday evening. . . Mr Dovaney notified his intention oi presenting a cup for competition among one of the I’.ower grades, the offer being accepted with thanks.
