I lie Chairman to move: “That the Council make and levy on July 12th next, pursuant to- the provisions of Sections 48-55, of the Rating Act 1998, and its amendments, and Sections 129-21, of the Counties Act, 1920, a general rate as iollows: “A, four farthings in, the £ on the capital value of all rateable property m the Northern Riding of the County of Westland.”

6. Tiie Chairman t () move: “Time pursuant to the provisions of the recent enactment, the Council authorises the 20 per cent, i eduction in rents collectable by the Council.” 7. C.'r Donovan to move: “That Burrell Road, Mataiuui, he improved in accordance with the Overseer’s report and estimates.”
S— Cr. Jeffries t () move: “That the honorarium to be .paid the County Chairman he reduced from £75 per an. to £6O.
b-—Cr Jeffries to move: “That with a view to further economies ill the County’s administration the Council meet every second month thereby reducing the cost of travelling expanses.
Note.—As now constituted the annual amount required to meet the expenses o 1 ’ monthly meetings is approximately £260.
10.—Cr. Jeffries to move: “That a special committee consisting of Crs. Murdoch. Chestorman, Keenan, Ward and the mover, he appointed to deal with emergency or urgent matters that may arise between meetings.”
