“Wizard” Smith received a cordial welcome home bv many friends upon his arrival from Now Zealand to-day. In an interview, lie said that lie war. confident of breaking tlie record upon his return -to New Zealand at the end of -the year. .£&&•:
“1 have not lost faith in hhe beach,” lie said. ‘‘There is none in the world to compare with it.” He expressed grateful appreciation of the hospitality accorded him during his stay in New Zealand.
