RIMU JUBILEE.

Sir.—l am pleased to see the Rimu Jubi.ee Committee s answer to my correspondence, that they received the £1 donation for the badge; but I cannot understand why this member of the Committee gave it out to members ot the public that he soid his badge, as the Committee admits in its correspondence. It has .coirie out only now where the £1 went to. mlf all donations were received in the'same way, there would have been no Jubilee.

There is another question I would like to ask the Committee. Have they voted £1 in payment for a flag that was mpsing from the front of a member’s residence? This flag was supposed to be taken on the eve of the Jubilee, and brought down to Woodstock by some person unknown. The following morning a flag was picked up by a Woodstock resident, and placed in the Woodstock Hall for safe-keeping. it has been told to this member of the Committee where the flag is that was picked up, but it seems to me that the £1 is more valuable to th'-s person than the iflag. If he could sell all his flags at the same price, he would be alright for the winter.

In reply to the immigrant referred to. it was a native of Woodstock who told him that'"’ 'M had nb right to be ■wearing two badges. The public man whom the Committee referred to in its correspondence went to Rimu that day to carry out his duties, not to be dictated to by a so-called assistant traffic inspector, and he told him what ue thought of him, as he had nothing t<> do with motor cars that day, let alone looking for drivers of car® for him. Tn conclusion, when I see a balance sheet, .1 probably will have a little more to say.

I am, etc., ’ SUBSCRIBER Woodstock. Ma- 18th. 1932.
