The Union makes an offer to the Board of another basis of settlement, namely, that all of ihe Traffic Staff be reinstated m their former positions, and that they ration the work with the 60 volunteers who, Mr Donnelly stipulates, must be retained in the Board’s employment.

City Council, the steps he had taken in connection with the establishment of an auxiliary police force. The discussion arose but of a motion moved by Councillor Baker, thanking the temporary police for their services. It was not carried, but was referred to the Finance Committee so that a resolution acceptable to every. Councillor could be . framed by it.
