The Premier (Mr Stevens), announced to-night that arrangements had been made for all Government departments to work on a normal basis from tomorrow. All -outstanding payments for social services l , and superannuation amounting to hundreds of thousands of pound's will he paid forthwith. All monies held by the treasury in accordance with Mr Jiang’s instructions will he returned to the banks and normal banking facilities restored.
Ho had assured the Prime Minister that lie would adhere to the Premiers’ plan faithfully, and the Prime Minister had undertaken at once to su«pend the |en force men t proclamations against the State. 4he Cabinet would 1)0' announced tomorrow, and the elections held ns wood a»s possible.
