ROTARY’S AIMKJ

DUNEDIN, May 12
An inspiring addre-'s on Rotary’s many phases, by Mr Sydney Pascal!, the international president, was a feature of this morning’s session of Rotary. Mr Pascal I received -a warm welcome, expressed by Mayor Black, and the district; president, Mr Guthrie. His' 'address was much on the lines already reported. He urged Rotary’s aim was to make people good nationals, not washed out copies. Consequently they saw Rotary in various countries adopting it-elf to the national character and needs. Internationally the greatest need was tb make France and. Germany understand each other. Rotary was effecting the necessary personal contact, but however valuable, the other aims, the chief was that, in their businesses and professions they should carry out in their daily lives Rotary's ideal of service.
