The first of the two demonstration concerts in connection with the annual Competitions took place last evening in the Princess Theatre when there was a large and enthusiastic audience, who gave the various performers a very happy reception. chocolates, and in some other ‘marks | of appreciation. The National Anthem concluded a very successful programme. Before the conclusion of the programme Rev. H. J. W. Knights in the absence of Mr D. J. Evans (President) returned thanks to the audience for their attendance, the competitors for their entries, the judges for their competent work and all who had assisted during the past week which had assured such a- decided success to tint? year’s competitions. A complete change of programme would he given for the final entertainment the next evening when he hoped to see another bumper’ attendance.

TO-NIGHT. ' FINAL DEMONSTRATION. The final demonstration concert will Ire given to-night whem another very attractive programme will be presented, details of which are given on our front page.
