BIG CLAIMS
OVER MOTOR COLLISION.
THREE ACTIONS BEING HEARD

WELLINGTON, May 9.
Three actions for damages arising out of a motor car collision on the road between Masterton and Carterton, are being heard to-day, simultaneously, in the Supreme Court, before His Honourj Mr Justice Blair, and a jury. The parties were:— Thomas Francis Grose versus Robert George Coulston, and another, claim £IOOO damages for injuries.
Robert George Coulston versus William John Grose, claim £IBO3 damages.
It was stated by one of the counsel that’ the collision occurred on the part of the road wlidre there was a straight of half a mile one way and two the other, and one of the points to be decided was on whose side of the road the collision took place. Coulston alleged that Grose was on the wrong side, and Grose that the accident was caused through the neglienc-e of Coulston, in steering, and not* keeping a proper lookout. There had been a criminal trial in which the charge was made against Coulston, but Collision was acquitted. Hearing is proceeding.
