TROUBLOUS SEARCH FOR DRINK "WELLINGTON, May 5. Three men searching for a drinkwandered into tlie offices of Wright Stephenson and Co. last night. A clerk told them that they could not get one there and when he refused to shake hands with one of the men they commenced throwing rubber stamps and pads at him. The caretaker endeavoured to get the men away, but lie became the centre of the attack and sustained a broken nose. The police were summoned and one man ran away. The other two, who were seamen on the lonic, were each fined. £5 in Court to-day and ordered to pay the caretaker’s medical expenses and to be placed aboard before their ship sailed.
