WELLINGTON, May 6
Indication was given in the Legislative Council this morning that nine Councillors, the Hons. Allison, Garland, Trigg'S, Govv, Stewart, Sinclair, Fleming, Thomson and Hawke whose term expires to-morrow, would not be reappointed.
.. Sir Janie; Parr stated—-“We are to lose them, at least for the time being. I. feel they should not go from us without my expressing appreciation of the services .they have rendered to ■ the Dominion.”
QUESTION OF APPOINTMENTS
WELLINGTON, May 6.
The Premier, Mr G. W. Forbes, announced thus afternoon that it is not proposed to make any appointments or .re-appointments in the Legislative Council in the meantime.
Asked if further appointments were contemplated, lie said that would he considered later.
