TOBACCO PLANTATION FIRE. 'Uy Telegraph —Per tress A ssociation) AUCKLAND, May 4... ; Ten kilns used in curing tobacco on the property of New Zealand Tobacco Plantations I Ad., near Riverhead, were destroyed by lire early this morning. The damage is estimated at £2OOO. In addition £6OO worth of tobacco in the process of curing was lost. The plant was insured for £7700 in the General Accident Fire ami Lite Insurance Office, and it is understood that the part destroyed was insured for £ISOO.
