COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. (By Telegraph-Per Press Association) GISBORNE, May 4. John Hunter, aged 38, pleaded guilty at the’Police Court, to twelve charges of theft as a servant of the Gisborne Gas Company, the amount involved being £374. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The evidence disclosed that accused adopted n . system of short banking. He "as temporarily appointed accountant to the company in September last, and the appointment was made permanent >'> November 27th.
