LOYALIST UNIONS
OPPOSE MINISTER’S EDICT.
REFUSE. TO CARRY OUT ORDER

SYDNEY, May 2,
The loyalist unions are in revolt against the- ultimatum of the Minister of Transport. The- President of the, Railway Service Association refused to carry out the Minister’*) order and advised all members of the Association to take similar action.
A message on Saturday stated that members of three loyalist unions have been served with an ultimatum by the Minister of Transport, the Hon. Air AlcGirr, informing them that they must join a “bonafide” union before the end of May.' The loyalist leaders stated that the Minister was attempting to smash their unions because the railway employees preferred to belong to them instead of to the Trades Hall unions.
