While travelling along a busy road in Hertfordshire, a high-powered car drew alongside, and signalled her to stop, indicating that something was wrong. A man lapproaclfed smiling, and wliil'o Viscountess Fort-man’s clmffeiir investigated at the rear of the ear, the man grabbed a case containing jewellery valued at £BOOO, and jumped into his own c-ar, and rapidly disappeared. The police subsequently nr rested a Londoner, named Isaac Rear.
