GIRL ROBBED
IN WELLINGTON SUBURB.

WELLINGTON, April 27
A lady clerk, employed in the office of the Karitano Products Society, Ltd. ■ms assaulted late on Friday afternoon, and robbed of over £4O in -Melrose. She was taking wages to the factory, and decided to take a short cut through the grounds. Just after die climbed through the fence, a masked man jumped out at her, rubbed pepper and salt in her face, knocked er dmvtTf- punching and bruising her. ■ .ml making off with her hag. The girl’s movements were seemingly known to the assailant, who chose a. lonely spot for the attack. The girl, who is about 23 years of age is still confined to bed.
