FIVE TEAMS IN EACH GRADE
The Westland Rugby Sub-Union me.t last evening, there being present—Messrs- J. C. Stafford (chairman), A. Cutbush, J. Cooper, A, H. Lawn, J. McCleary, D. Dowell, Pridmore and the secretary (Mr E. W. Keenan). The Ross Club wrote forwarding nominations for the senior and junior competitions. It was reported that nominations of junior teams had been received as follow:—Rimii, Ross, Excelsior, Kiwi and State School. On the motion of Messrs Heenan and Cntbush it was decided that the junior competition commence on Saturday, May 7t.h. The draw for the opening day of the senior competition next Saturday was approved a» follows: —Kiwi v. Riinu, at Rirnu, at 3 p.m.; Excelsior v. Rivals, at Cass Square, 3 p.m. Ross a bvc. On the motion of Messrs Dowell and Cooper, it was decided that the expenses of referee-' to country games he 'borne by the country clubs. It was decided that the referees for Saturday, as submitted hv the Association, he approved.
