RACES AT LAKE KANIERI

The most thrilling event of the day was the Tulloch Cup race, of nine miles (.six laps). In this event “Country Boy” tipped and sank right in front of the judge’s stand, after having completed five laps. “Hop Along” retired from the race to assist the unfortunate pilot. This race was won easily by “Doubtful Moments,” but in a thrilling finish for second place, “Pit-a-Pat” struck the walsh of another boat and turned a complete somersault. Both of these incidents occurred within a, few yards of most of the spectators.

Collyer) with 8035 points was runner-up.
