The South Canterbury Returned Soldiers’ Association’s Poppy Day appeal in Tiinaru to-day resulted in ,£3OO being raised, compared with £246 last year. The returns from sub-branches are estimated at £SO, again, st £2B last year W E I.I JNGTO N EX P EXT A TIO NS, WELLINGTON, 'April. 22. The Poppy Day appeal in Wellington city and suburbs is expected to realise £IOOO. The sum of £626 was realised in the city area.
